  • The knowledge is available thank to the tremendous work of for example Gene Sharp but indeed global efforts from persons all over the world. • This initiative is just what I want...
I really appreciate the initiative! I would say that I would consider non-violent alternatives in my area if I felt that it was presented in a convincing way. I think non-violent action needs to be very disciplined, very well organized. I think that was one of the most important lessons in Egypt. The insight in the population that there was a plan and that people were going to stick to the plan and that the plan was powerful was very important. So, a strategic plan targeting seveal areas, blogging, strikes, manifestations would be very important. Also, as observed in Egypt, the time ...
  • A people's global meeting
The people's global meeting would be a distributed set of meetings happening simultaneously in 1000 or more cities across many thousands of interest groups, activist movements, environmentalists, neighbourhood groups and just about any group you could imagine that takes some responsibility for its environment. I would like this to take place in 2012. It will be my own individual proposal to put the pieces in place for this enormous occurrence by putting forward to as many groups as I can a large scale "test" of it, and so lay the basis for the real thing.
  • Self-Deception & Peace
I have many times thought about when we want to make our perceived reality our own. We spend an enormous amount of time trying to justify why we are not to blame when in too many cases we conveniently forget that we are part of the problem. We try to justify our own behavior to make it right. We justify if only because of our desire to feel good, not because of the feeling of working for the overall good. I live a peaceful, convenient and comfortable life yet I never feel like iI am resting in it as I know others are in unrest. I love this initiative as it is all about finding ...
  • In the light of terror acts in France and Europe: Belief Or Religion Can Not Be Used For Definition Of People As Juste Or Unjuste
Violation of human rights and unequaty between men and women can never be excused. When these rights are violated it is always a tragedy and can never be accepted.  Individuals use and acts and violation of human rights in the name of any religion can accordingly never be excused and must meet our firm resistence.   Still it is important to remember that beliefs and religions can never be used for definition of people as either juste or unjuste, unequal or equal. It is simply a much too rough simplification to define people based on their religion.    Of course it must be possible to discuss any act/violation of human rights that is done and the fact that it was done in the name of a specific religion.  And freedom of religion can not be used as excuse for violation of human rights.  Groups belonging to different religions are historically influenced by for instance patriarchal systems and these systems you should be able to discuss and critisized. However, wiithin the same religiions you will fins persons working against such injustice. And still, exemples of persons that act and reference to religion as motivation of the act, can not be taken as motivation for defining any person/all individuals belonging to that belief as unjuste or unjuste. Very often hower customs and traditions also are mixed up with religion and belief.  Within any belief you will be able to find both juste and unjuste people. Behaviours should be discussed  in relation to the right of every human beeing.  Unfortunately, in these days of provocations and violation of human rights by different extreme groups in the name of religion, we very quickly define people belonging to the same religion as unjuste and a threat. Let us instead base our opinion of people on what every individual say and do in relation to human rights, not unheard on their belief.
  • insight that non violent strategies can be or are just as or even more efficient as violent campaigns can bring people together with different background, believe and motiga and help people to be resilient to oppression and thereby massmobilization and shift in power may very well occur. But in order to stay non violent leadership to guide mass and control process and masses will be crucial to stay focused, determined and non violent.
  • By signalling that sitiric provocation not can or should be forbidden but in the same time point out that hurting anyone's feeling never is the goal IT could hopefully contribute to deescalation before dangerous situations occur. Prevention of provocation  by forecoming the hurting of persons feelings does not neccessarily take power away from satire.
